Forecast No. CD-2026-0474 · Effective July 15, 2026

The Desk projects an unscheduled brownout across the Municipal Fart Grid beginning the evening of July 15. The cause is not mechanical. The cause is Tuesday.

Taco Tuesday output does not reach the grid on Tuesday. It arrives, in bulk and without staggering, roughly eighteen hours later — a single unforecasted crest the interconnect was never asked to absorb in one sitting. The 1931 mains hold a steady load admirably. They do not hold a surprise.

A ruled demand curve over twenty-four hours, flat then cresting into one sharp spike that crosses a dashed capacity line marked T plus eighteen hours.

Residents are directed to observe the following:

  1. Pre-stage discretionary output. Contributions that can be advanced to Tuesday evening should be advanced. Output metered before the crest does not count against the crest.

  2. Observe the Wednesday window. Between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on July 15, hold non-urgent contributions. The grid asks for spacing, not abstinence.

  3. Do not compound the load. Households are asked not to schedule a second seasoning event — Soup Night, a private Fiber Week — within the same cycle. One crest is a forecast. Two is a failure.

  4. Report early flicker. A dimming of household fixtures before the window is the grid, not your wiring. Log it; do not investigate it.

Brownouts are distributed by the grid without regard to who ordered the second helping. The Desk cannot cancel Tuesday. It can only ask that Wednesday be met halfway.
