The Future Is Brown
Poster No. 200, issued by the Office of Civic Digestion for the World of Tomorrow exhibition, presenting the digester-powered city as settled civic progress.

Poster No. 200. Issued by the Office of Civic Digestion, circa 1955, for the World of Tomorrow exhibition and displayed in the pavilion, model showrooms, and school assembly halls, presenting the fully digester-powered city as a settled matter of civic progress. The skyline was painted before the grid it depicts was built; the Office filed the plate under "aspirational" and exhibited it unaltered. It is held in the Bureau of Renewable Discourse archive.
