The Grid Is Down. You Know What To Do.

Poster No. 19, issued by the Office of Civic Digestion for emergency display during Municipal Fart Grid failures.

A wartime-style emergency poster showing a darkened city of unlit tenement windows and a dead power pylon in silhouette at night, a lone resolute citizen in a coat striding toward the one lit municipal facility with a hand lantern, captioned THE GRID IS DOWN.

Poster No. 19. Issued by the Office of Civic Digestion, circa 1947, for emergency distribution during rolling failures of the Municipal Fart Grid, when metered facilities fell dark and residents were expected to sustain baseload by unassisted effort. The poster carried no further instruction, on the official position that none was required; the plate is held in the Bureau of Renewable Discourse archive.
