Notice No. CD-2026-0463 · Effective July 8, 2026

Mandatory Fiber Week, scheduled to commence Monday, is postponed. The Municipal Fart Grid is not, at this time, prepared to receive the coordinated surge that a full-participation Fiber Week reliably produces, and the Office declines to schedule an event the grid cannot hold. Fiber Week is rescheduled to the week of September 14. Enrollment carries over. Enthusiasm does not expire.

The Office is aware that many households have laid in fiber against the announced date. That fiber remains yours. Until the revised week opens, residents are directed to observe the following:

  1. Hold your fiber. Bran, husk, and legume stores acquired in anticipation are to be kept sealed and at pantry temperature. Fiber is not perishable and is in no danger. You are simply early.

  2. Do not pre-load. A household that begins its own Fiber Week ahead of the calendar contributes to the very readiness problem this postponement addresses. One resident's head start is the district's shortfall.

  3. Do not redistribute. Stockpiled fiber may not be lent, sold, or gifted to households in adjacent districts to even out supply. The calendar is uniform for a reason.

  4. Keep it out of the pot. Fiber intended for the municipal week may not be diverted into early soup. Soup Night and Fiber Week are separate grid events and are not to be combined without authorization.

Fiber Week will proceed on the revised date, in full, for all. Your restraint between now and then is noted, and counts toward nothing except the grid, which is everything.
