Artifact 083: Manual for the Model T-urd Generator
The sole surviving owner's manual for the first mass-market household generator, its unknown owner's marginalia intact, published here by the Museum without endorsement.

The Model T-urd was the first household waste generator sold at scale, and this is the only copy of its manual the Museum has been able to confirm. A second copy is attested by a single credible rumor, which the collection continues to pursue.
Provenance and marginalia
The manual came to the collection from a house clearance with no accompanying papers; the owner is unknown and, judging by the annotations, was more competent than the manufacturer. Nearly every page carries pencil corrections in a single steady hand — pressures overruled, clearances redrawn, one printed warning underlined three times and annotated only: yes.
Curatorial note
The staples are original and lightly rusted; the cover bears oil thumbprints the conservators have chosen to retain as provenance. The Museum publishes the manual, and its marginalia, without endorsement of either. The owner's annotations grow shorter as the manual proceeds, and the Museum has resisted every temptation to say why.
