Every Flush Counts

Poster No. 34, issued by the Office of Civic Digestion during the first Demand Defecation drive.

A 1930s-style poster of a worker in overalls seated proudly on a porcelain throne before a smoking industrial skyline, above a ribbon banner reading EVERY FLUSH COUNTS.

Poster No. 34. Issued by the Office of Civic Digestion, circa 1943, for display in municipal washrooms and transit concourses throughout the first Demand Defecation drive. The seated figure was modeled on a composite of three regional contribution leaders; the surviving lithograph is held in the Bureau of Renewable Discourse archive, lightly foxed but structurally sound.
